Many Things consists of solo piano pieces as well as electronic ones. Moonrise, Awake Tonight, Light Drops were influenced by Izumi Shikibu’s poems describing her experience of the full moon. Sakin means tranquillity in Turkish, as well as in other languages, and it was written in search of inner peace. On January 24, 2020, an earthquake occurred in Elazıg, Turkey, with a magnitude of 6.8. The piece with the city’s name is a cry out for the healing and recovery from that disaster. Dream dancer begins and ends with the voices of people like in our dreams. Many Things is about headlines that happen around and to us. We watch these terrible things happen. Sometimes they pass by, sometimes they do not. The album is about that: One news after another and another, how can we cope with that?
